I know in the small town where I raised my fanily, there was one 'so called' great place to work. That coveted job that everyone wanted an interview with. 

However, the reputation - was just that. It was not the reality. A friend got hired there and filled me in on the 'real story'. 

And here it is..

Yes! The pay was the best in town. Yes. The benefits were amazing. 

But... Wow ~ Because the company knew this, they were so out of control - the way they treated people. Making you feel like you were always on the brink of losing your job creates 'great robotic workers'.. but not happy people. And from what she told me - everyone was trying to bring someone else down to advance themselves! 

That Corporate, Big Brother thing really turns me off  too. As well as 's the whole magnitude of office drama and dog-eat-dog social climbing! That s why I left the Corporate world of employment.
